Are your walls missing something? Do you need some beauty and fun in your space?
My work celebrates the bright, shiny, glittery, and joyfulness in everyday life. My subject matter is mostly botanicals and still-lifes, which allows me to continue focusing on experimenting with materials, size and techniques. Through this exploration, I find that there is this moment of being completely enveloped in creativity when everything else falls away and there’s a sense of true self and happiness. This is why I love to paint, for these sometimes brief, and fleeting moments. My hope is that the shapes, colors and textures I combine brightens someone’s day as much as I enjoy creating them.
I’ve been painting, showing and selling my work since my days as a student at Skidmore College. AMP are my maiden name initials and I started using the name AMPle art while working on my Master’s in Interior Design from the Corcoran College of Art + Design. The possible combinations of fine art and design are endless!
